I am a licensed clinical psychologist with an independent, solo practice located in Downtown Decatur. This means I am not part of a group and I don't have a front office staff. Since I don't have a "front office" I use the technology of the internet, email, and scheduling software to assist me.

I use an online appointment manager called AppointmentQuest to schedule and manage appointments. This program will allow you to see my schedule, make, reschedule or cancel appointments. To enter or change appointments you will need a username and password which will be created when you initially schedule with the program. Alternatively, if I schedule the appointment, I will send you login information by email.

I try and keep my schedule fairly full, so I encourage clients to schedule appointments in advance to secure a time slot.

I will not confirm an initial intake appointment until I have had some contact with you to verify appropriateness of fit and openings for new clients (note: open appointment slots do not always reflect that I can take new clients).

I keep appointments Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a noon hour lunch break.  I do not offer evening or weekend appointments. You may check my calendar openings through AppointmentQuest.

For those clients that do not have insurance, are using out-of-network insurance benefits, or who choose not to use their coverage, the standard fee is $125 per session. If you are using insurance and I am out-of-network, then I will provide you with a receipt/superbill which you may use to get reimbursed for some of this cost. For those using insurance for which I am a network provider, the out-of-pocket cost will be based on your copay, coinsurance and/or deductible if applicable.

Individuals generally either pay "out of pocket" or they utilize their health insurance benefits which may cover a significant portion of the fee. I also accept Visa, MasterCard & Discover cards.
